On the 31st October 2005 the Assistant team at The Cutting Corner, co-ordinated by owner Jez Barnett, took part in a creative photographic training session.
The idea of the project was to create Avant-Garde images which would be turned into a collection with the help of a fantastically talented Photo-Artist, Hugh Byrne.
Kiran from Pulse Beauty applied creative make-up to enhance the look of each model, which would help create a collection feel.
A few weeks earlier, Jez taught the young team creative styling techniques when launching the project. Each Assistant then came up with their own model and ideas, with the only influences from Jez being the concept of Avant-Garde, the explanation of the standard required for photo work and the odd prompt to tighten an angle here and there.
Once the hair and make-up was completed each Assistant got the chance to work with Hugh, learning how to pose their model, create the right lighting and then see their work develop into an image on the computer.
